nemi DAQ nano is a tiny, board-level wireless data acquisition (DAQ) multi-sensor module designed for advanced measurement and monitoring of strains, forces, loads, displacements (e.g. crack monitoring), temperatures, and many additional physical quantities. It is i4M’s first fully integrated wireless sensing solution in the DAQ segment and a key member of the nemi® Wireless Measurement Family.
Despite its extremely small size, nemi DAQ nano offers a wide range of analog and digital sensor interfaces, including strain gauge full bridges (Wheatstone), force and displacement sensors, thermocouples (e.g. Type K), Pt100 / Pt1000 temperature sensors, potentiometers, 0–10 V sensors, and digital sensors. A high-resolution 24-bit ADC with integrated signal amplifier ensures low noise and high measurement accuracy even in demanding applications.
In addition to external sensors, nemi DAQ nano integrates a 9-DoF IMU consisting of a triaxial accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer, enabling the measurement of accelerations, rotation rates, rotation angles, and magnetic fields. This makes the device ideally suited for dynamic measurements on rotating or moving components, such as torque and torsion measurements in drive trains.
Thanks to the highly efficient nemi Link 2400 radio technology, nemi DAQ nano achieves very long battery runtimes. With optional solar energy harvesting and MPPT, operating time can be extended significantly and, under favorable conditions, the sensor can even operate energy self-sufficiently.
Its ultra-compact and lightweight design allows seamless integration into the smallest installation spaces, transforming conventional components and machines into smart, connected products without costly custom development. Compatibility with nemi receivers, loggers, and gateways enables fast and cost-efficient implementation of complete wireless measurement systems.
