The Senseca LPPYRHE16 Series consists of Class B pyrheliometers according to ISO 9060:2018, designed for the direct measurement of solar irradiance in W/m².
For correct measurement, the receiving surface of the pyrheliometer must be positioned perpendicular to the sun’s rays, typically by means of a solar tracker or another suitable pointing system. A dedicated diaphragm system ensures that only direct solar radiation reaches the sensor surface, allowing measurement of the direct normal component of solar irradiance.
In accordance with WMO and ISO 9060:2018 requirements, the pyrheliometer has a 5° field of view.
The series is available in several versions depending on the output type:
The pyrheliometer is supplied factory calibrated and includes a Calibration Report. The standard package also includes a protective hood, cartridge for silica-gel crystals, 3 refills, and a 4-pole M12 flying connector.
The Senseca LPPYRHE16 Series is suitable for weather stations, direct solar irradiance measurement, solar research, photovoltaic system monitoring, and professional radiometric applications.

According to the drawing:
overall length: 324 mm
main cylindrical section: 205 mm
front section: 50 mm
rear section: 60 mm
body diameter: Ø38 mm
front section width: 84 mm
front section height: 95 mm
For correct alignment of the pyrheliometer, the two holes in the front and rear flanges are used. The instrument must be oriented so that the sun’s rays pass through the first hole in the front flange and reach the second hole in the rear flange.
