The Senseca LPUVC01 is a radiometric probe for UVC irradiance measurement, designed for indoor radiometric monitoring. The probe is optimized for the UVC spectral region, with a peak spectral response at 260 nm and FWHM of 32 nm, while remaining effectively insensitive to visible and infrared light.
The measurement principle is based on a photodiode, which generates current when exposed to light. An internal resistor converts this current into a potential difference that can be read using a suitable voltmeter or digital multimeter. The probe requires no external power supply and provides a direct mV output.
The LPUVC01 covers a measuring range of 0…200 mW/cm² and has a calibration accuracy of better than 10%. Each probe is individually calibrated, and its specific sensitivity factor is marked on the probe housing and used to calculate the actual UVC irradiance value.
Calibration is carried out by measuring irradiance from an Hg lamp at 254 nm.
For proper electrical reading, the probe output should be connected to a digital multimeter with an input resistance greater than 100 kΩ.
The compact Ø30 mm × 38 mm housing and 5 m cable support easy integration into laboratory and monitoring systems. If required, the output signal can be converted to 4–20 mA or 0–10 V DC using compatible HD978TR series converters.
