Description
The Senseca PRO 921 is a portable multiparameter measuring instrument designed for temperature measurement and HVAC applications in the field. The instrument features two compensated Type K thermocouple inputs and one M12 input for DX digital probes, making it suitable for contact temperature, differential temperature, and a wide range of environmental measurements.
Using the two Type K thermocouple inputs, the PRO 921 measures temperature over a range of -220.0…+1372.0 °C with 0.1 °C resolution. When two thermocouples are connected, the instrument automatically calculates the temperature difference between the two channels, which is especially useful for HVAC, building, and energy measurement tasks.
The M12 input supports interchangeable DX digital probes for measuring temperature, humidity, pressure, indoor air quality (IAQ) parameters, photo-radiometric quantities, and soil moisture, depending on the connected probe.
Measured values are shown on a multilingual backlit dot-matrix LCD, which supports several display formats, including large-digit values, multi-row views, Min/Avg/Max statistics, and live chart display.
The PRO 921 supports configurable alarm thresholds for selected measured quantities. Alarm signaling can be provided by an audible buzzer, flashing backlight, and a red flashing status LED.
The housing is designed for field use and provides IP67 protection, except at the thermocouple inputs, together with side rubber protection. A foldable stand and integrated magnet support convenient positioning during measurement work.
The instrument operates with 4 × AA alkaline batteries or from an external 5 V DC supply via USB-C. Typical battery life is more than 150 hours, while auto-off and configurable backlight settings support energy-efficient operation.
The instrument menu allows selection and sorting of displayed quantities, unit configuration, favorite menu shortcuts, a protected mode with PIN code, and measurement correction settings.
The PRO 921 does not include an integrated data logger. Data logging for up to 1 million data sets with CSV export via USB-C is available on the PRO 925 model.
