The HiYi MIC200-IR4 is a fixed explosion-protected multi-spectrum infrared flame detector designed for rapid detection of fires involving flammable gases and liquids in industrial facilities and potentially explosive atmospheres. The detector utilizes advanced multi-spectrum infrared sensing technology combined with specialized flame signal processing algorithms to provide high sensitivity, fast response, and strong immunity to false alarms.

The MIC200-IR4 detects infrared radiation generated by hydrocarbon flames, including fires involving methane, ethane, propane, butane, pentane, ethylene, propylene, and butadiene. Its multi-channel infrared sensing system and optical filtering technology enable reliable discrimination between actual flame signatures and interference caused by sunlight and adverse environmental conditions.

The detector provides rapid flame detection over distances of approximately 30 to 50 meters, depending on the type and intensity of the burning material. A 90° field of view enables effective monitoring of large areas and critical process zones.

Advanced flame signal processing and multi-sensor detection technology improve sensitivity and response time. The detector is suitable for detecting liquid and gas fires, open flames in the presence of smoke, and applications where rapid ignition or deflagration may occur.

The MIC200-IR4 provides a 4–20 mA analog output and optional Modbus RS485 communication, enabling integration with fire and gas systems, PLCs, SCADA platforms, and industrial automation systems.

The aluminum alloy enclosure with anti-corrosion coating, IP66 ingress protection, and Ex d IIC T6 explosion-protected design ensure reliable operation in demanding industrial environments and hazardous areas classified as Zone 1 and Zone 2. The detector is resistant to dust, corrosion, vibration, partial optical obscuration, and adverse atmospheric conditions.

With its high false-alarm immunity, reliable operation under rain, fog, mist, and partial optical obscuration, and suitability for potentially explosive atmospheres, the HiYi MIC200-IR4 is an effective solution for oil and gas facilities, chemical processing plants, gas pipelines, storage facilities, offshore platforms, vessels, and other high-risk industrial applications.
