The Senseca ECO 120-HayTemp is a professional portable thermometer designed for measuring and monitoring the internal temperature of stored hay, straw, and bulk materials. The instrument is suitable for agricultural applications, storage facilities, and fire safety inspections, enabling early detection of temperature increases inside stored materials and assessment of the risk of self-heating and spontaneous combustion.

The thermometer is equipped with a robust fiberglass measuring probe available in lengths of 4 m or 6 m, allowing temperature measurements at different depths within stored materials. The probe has a diameter of Ø10 mm and features a hardened, replaceable cutting tip, facilitating penetration into densely packed hay, straw, and other bulk materials.

An integrated Pt1000 resistance temperature sensor, Class B, with a 2-wire connection is located in the probe tip, providing core temperature measurements within a range of -20.0…+120.0 °C. The instrument accuracy within the -20…+100 °C range is ±0.1 K ±1 digit, plus the measurement error of the connected temperature probe.

The probe is connected to the handheld instrument through a 1.5 m cable with a BNC connector, providing convenient handling distance during temperature inspections in large storage areas.

The Senseca ECO 120-HayTemp features a 3-line backlit display with a battery status indicator and shatterproof screen protection. A display inversion function, activated at the push of a button, facilitates reading measurements from different instrument positions.

The integrated MIN/MAX functions allow users to monitor the minimum and maximum recorded temperatures, while the HOLD function freezes the current reading. The thermometer also includes an alarm function to support temperature monitoring of stored materials.

The housing is manufactured from impact-resistant ABS plastic and provides IP67 protection, making the instrument suitable for regular use in demanding agricultural and storage environments.

The thermometer is powered by 2 × AA alkaline batteries, providing approximately 5,000 hours of operation. Configurable automatic power-off and LCD backlight settings help optimize power consumption.

The Senseca ECO 120-HayTemp is particularly suitable for routine core temperature monitoring of stored hay, straw, and agricultural bulk materials, especially in high-moisture conditions or shortly after storage, when the risk of internal self-heating is increased.
