The Senseca HD53LS Series consists of high-sensitivity two-axis static ultrasonic anemometers specifically designed for reliable measurement of very low air and wind speeds that may be difficult to detect using conventional mechanical anemometers.

The instruments measure wind speed and direction, as well as the U-V Cartesian components of wind speed. In the version equipped with RS485 MODBUS-RTU, Wind Gust measurement is also available.

The HD53LS also calculates the average wind speed and direction over a configurable interval of up to 10 minutes, allowing the averaging period to be adapted to the specific measurement application.

The series is available in two main versions. The HD53LS.A features two analog outputs, one for wind speed and one for wind direction. These can be factory configured as 4–20 mA (standard), 0–1 V, 0–5 V, or 0–10 V, with the required output type specified when ordering.

The HD53LS.S version is equipped with an RS485 interface using the MODBUS-RTU protocol, allowing integration into automated monitoring systems and connection of multiple instruments within a communication network.

Thanks to the absence of moving parts, mechanical maintenance requirements are minimized. This improves reliability in continuous monitoring applications and at remote or difficult-to-access installation sites.

One of the main advantages of the HD53LS Series is its high sensitivity to very low wind speeds, enabling the detection of weak air movements that may not be measurable with conventional anemometers.

The instrument’s low power consumption makes it suitable for remote monitoring sites, including systems powered by a solar panel and battery.

Installation is fast and straightforward on a Ø40 mm mast, and an optional tripod is also available.

The Senseca HD53LS Series is suitable for very-low-speed air monitoring, meteorological and environmental measurements, automatic monitoring stations, remote installations, and automation systems where high sensitivity, low power consumption, and minimal maintenance are required.
