The Senseca LPUVA01 is a radiometric probe for UVA irradiance measurement, designed for indoor radiometric monitoring. The probe has a spectral response with a peak at approximately 365 nm and FWHM of 40 nm, while remaining insensitive to visible and infrared light. This enables selective measurement in the UVA region with minimal influence from other parts of the spectrum.

The measurement principle is based on a photodiode, which generates current when exposed to light. An internal resistor converts this current into a potential difference that can be read using a suitable voltmeter or digital multimeter. The probe does not require an external power supply and provides a direct mV output.

The LPUVA01 has a measuring range of 0…200 mW/cm², a typical sensitivity of 2.6 μV/μW/cm², and a calibration accuracy of better than 6%. Each probe is individually calibrated, and its specific sensitivity factor is marked on the housing and used to calculate the measured irradiance value.

Calibration is performed using monochromatic light at 365 nm, obtained by isolating the emission line of a Xe-Hg lamp with an interference filter.

For proper electrical reading, the probe output should be connected to a digital multimeter with an input resistance greater than 100 kΩ.

The compact Ø30 mm × 38 mm housing and 5 m cable support easy integration into laboratory and monitoring systems. If required, the output signal can be converted to 4–20 mA or 0–10 V DC using compatible HD978TR series converters.

Dimensions Ø30 mm × 38 mm height

The LPUVA01 measures irradiance (W/m²) in the UVA spectral range of 315…400 nm. Thanks to the photodiode used, the probe is effectively insensitive to visible and infrared light.

Calibration is performed against a primary standard using monochromatic light at 365 nm, obtained by isolating the emission line of a Xe-Hg lamp with an interference filter.
